Lesser to the Greater

 John the baptist spoke of Jesus, Many prophets spoke 

Whosoever believes in Him 

Spirit and heart may be broke 

God isn't mad at you, in fact He loves you broken 

They accused The One, His only Son 

Rejected Word He'd spoken 

John himself, repentant heart 

Himself a broken spirit 

From his youth he knew The Truth 

Humbled him to hear it 

You and I, we know The Truth 

It's Him, His name is Jesus 

When we're broken, He has spoken 

Almighty God, He sees us.

Psalms 51:17 (NIV)

17 My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;

a broken and contrite heart

you, God, will not despise.

John 10:36

36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?
