Cacophony

 Duelling dialogues around at all times 

Our key Is repentance and rest 

One God to fear, all you can hear 

Quietness and trust is the test 

Tempest of might, unapproachable light

Rages around Him, devouring 

Not one can come near, a fortress of fear 

Enemies flee from it, cowering 

If fear was all, He’d just be a wall 

In mercy He’s given a gate 

In His own Son, He’s given The One

Jesus is love, not hate

Psalms 50:3

Our God comes

and will not be silent;

a fire devours before him,

and around him a tempest rages.

Isaiah 29:6

the LORD Almighty will come

with thunder and earthquake and great noise,

with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire.

Isaiah 30:15

This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says:

“In repentance and rest is your salvation,

in quietness and trust is your strength,

but you would have none of it.
