Thank you Lord for humbling me
I'm no instructor, I am a worm
Now in need of a Saviour
Entitled to Tumbling, instead He's humbling
Rescued from prideful behaviour
Delivered, I delight, I now know Who to trust
Messiah made clear on my side
Heartfelt, fervent, I'm just a servant
No longer impassioned by pride
Pride is a killer, it takes and it kills
No room for a servant to serve
It fights for attention, exalt , its intention
Shouts, demands "you deserve"
I deserve hell, not exaltation
Instead I'm crowned and free
You're in mercy seat, all under Your feet
Yet at present we do not see
Delivered, I delight, I now know Who to trust
Messiah made clear on my side
Heartfelt, fervent, I'm just a servant
No longer impassioned by pride
Delivered, I delight, I now know Who to trust
Messiah made clear on my side
Heartfelt, fervent, I'm just a servant
No longer impassioned by pride.
Psalms 22:6-8
6 But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by everyone, despised by the people.
7 All who see me mock me;
they hurl insults, shaking their heads.
8 “He trusts in the LORD,” they say,
“let the LORD rescue him.
Let him deliver him,
since he delights in him.”
Matthew 23:10-12
10 Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. 11 The greatest among you will be your servant. 12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Hebrews 2:7-8
7 You made them a little lower than the angels;
you crowned them with glory and honor
8 and put everything under their feet.”,
In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them.
