If’n you’ant

Down South we have a sayin, means go on and get it

Ain’t nobody ‘gon help or stop ya
If’n you’ant means what you want
Don’t let no bar set a’top ya

Language is crucial, just look at Babel
Reason He stopped ’em from building
If’n we want, displace Him we don’t
He knew we’d’ve carried on gilding

Even the best can’t long survive
Defying God just ain’t an option
Through time He sees us, predestined  through Jesus
Gave us sonship in adoption

Language is crucial, just look at Babel
Reason He stopped ’em from building
If’n we want, displace Him we don’t
He knew we’d’ve carried on gilding

Genesis 11:6-9
The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”
So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. That is why it was called Babel —because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.

Ephesians 1:5-6
he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
