Go down to the house, there I will speak
I’ll test you to see if you’ll hold
Once you’re there, see I create with care
I make the wheel and I make the mold
Spirit hold sway in me
Spirit hold sway
In my flesh I’m helpless and weak
In my place You proffered, Your own Son You offered
You taught us to turn the other cheek
Live according to Spirit
Law has been fully met
In us speaks the sway He’s holding
We’re on The Potter’s wheel, He made all that’s real
Every day He continues molding
Spirit hold sway in me
Spirit hold sway
In my flesh I’m helpless and weak
In my place You proffered, Your own Son You offered
You taught us to turn the other cheek
Spirit hold sway in me
Spirit hold sway
In my flesh I’m helpless and weak
In my place You proffered, Your own Son You offered
You taught us to turn the other cheek.
Jeremiah 18:1-6
This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD: “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.” So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.
Then the word of the LORD came to me. He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the LORD. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.
Romans 8:3-4
For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
