Reflection

We aren't the Light, we're blood and bone

Asleep, bound in chains
Weren't for God's bail, we'd all be in jail
Awaiting public pains

God sent His Light to save Peter from death
He sends Him to us each day
Our choice to wallow, or get up and follow
Like Peter, we'll be shown the Way

Once out of jail, he knew now the Light
Not doubting, he knew he'd been saved
He ran to tell others, his sisters and brothers
"My sentence from Herod was waived "

Free, sometimes suffering the rest of his days
Reflecting the light of The Lord
New mind & behaviour, he knew his saviour
He journeyed, His Word as his sword.

We too can journey, we too shall suffer
Our choice is persisting to finish
Our light we can shine, it's a race to the line
It's a Light age doesn't diminish.

Acts 12:7
Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.
