Boundaries of love
Where are the boundaries of love?
Are we to only love blood relatives, or those near us? How about those in the next block, next town?
What about time? Are we bound to only love during the week or weekend? During certain hours of the day?
What about places? Are we to only love our neighbour in our own home? Their home?
What about public places? Are we to only love our neighbour in private places or is it proper to love our neighbour in public?
What about online? Are we bound to only love our neighbour on certain online communities? Is it ok to love on Facebook but not ok on LinkedIn?
Where are the boundaries of love?
If I'm my brother's keeper, shouldn't I be his keeper always? Throughout time immemorial and time eternal...
I don't see any boundaries to love.
Genesis 4:9
9 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”
“I don’t know, ” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”
Galatians 5:14
14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
