Long as we stay focussed
We seek and we find
Teaching, bold in proclamation
We then run our race, marked out for us all
Run to Christ, He built and owns The Station
He’s sitting in the throne room, initial work all done
Christ endured the cross, scorned it’s shame
Our race to run, fix eyes on the Son
Keep heart for good to glorify His name
What happens if we lose heart
What if we look away
What tangles us in our web of woe
The world of weariness, death the end of sin
Unfinished race, no place or show
That’s the thing with Jesus
He’s there to fix our eyes
Always and forever He’s alive
Up to us to seek Him, saints surround so seek Him
He’s our second chance to survive.
Acts 28:30-31
For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!
Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
